THE DIGITAL STORY RESOURCE CENTER PROVIDES ON-LINE AND PRINT PUBLICATIONS.
On-line feature publications cover the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Houston, New Orleans, Memphis and Tulsa, along with many other cities and regions of the United States and Mexico. Key regions will include the Southwest (Sky Islands and Colorado Plateau), the Southcentral (Texas Hill Country and Mississippi Delta), and Southeast (Florida Coast and Appalatian Mountains).
Planned subjects include music, history, cultural interests, festivals, nature, parks, environment, photography, travel, pop culture, nostalgia, and much more. The regional websites will cover positive visions and projects for better communities, and provide proactive educational resources for youth and community members, while avoiding negative and divisive political issues.
Original content will be provided in various formats, including photo essays, feature articles, interviews, lists, timelines and historical documents. Occasionally, videos may be included as embedded links within DSRC pages. Rarely, interesting and quality content from other sources may be shared.
Planned publications include:
"Dispatch from Fort Worthy"
"Across the Great Divide"
Publication links will be provided as DSRC launches on-line features in the fall.
The Digital Story Resource Center publishes on-line journals, feature magazines and print publications, maintains archives, provides conservation and documentary services, and offers classes in photography and digital storytelling.
Promotional Announcements and Public Service Messages that appear on Digital Story Resource Center (DSRC) websites are selected specifically for their quality, relevance and respectability. The PAs and PSAs support DSRC websites and make it possible to provide content that is educational, informative and interesting to our visitors.
For a better viewing experience, DSRC does not permit pop-up ads, banner ads, subscription requirements, email sign-up requests, or animated graphics that slow down, hinder or impair viewing of the webpages. Those who wish to sign up for special announcements may visit the Contact Page.
